Rated 5 out of 5 by from By far the best out there! Having grown up in Alaska and breaking lots of fishing poles, you just cannot beat the strength and performance of the Elite Ugly Stik Rods! We own several and our smallest one always catches the biggest fish! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolute Faith. So by writing this review of the Ugly Stik Elite series of spinning reels I am also being entered in a contest to win various Ugly Stik goodies and that's great. However I am a hard working American and can purchase any of those items whenever I'd like. So winning the "contest" is not my intention with this review. It is to inform everyone that they are the most faithful rod I have ever used and at 40 I have used them all. Customs, tourney series, pro models and they have all let me down when it mattered most. I'm no pro, I fish weekend warrior style at best and when that trophy fish snatches the line I need to trust in my equipment. I have fished with a Ugly Stik in my hands since I was a young teenager when cousin and catfishin buddy told me if I could I should save and get a Ugly Stix. He said the glassed clear tip was the key in the rod tip not breaking. We caught huge cats in the creeks and rivers in Georgia so having a strong sturdy rod was very important. This was years ago and to this day I still rely heavily on that "glass" tip to put the fish in the boat. To be fare in this review I have broken the tip off a Ugly Stik Inshore Select but it was a graphite tip model and not the famous "glass tip". I swear by Ugly Stix and its glass clear tip and the new Elite Series is the best yet. I have more than a few in various sizes but most use the 7ft 6 spinning in med action. It's is a wonder to how it has landed some of the beast Ive hooked into. cork handle feels good in the hand also. Thanks Ugly Stix for being my fishing buddy all these years. Can't wait to see what we catch next. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice rod Bought the pole as soon as it came out cause I'm a big ugly stick fan . I was a little skeptical because it was skinny but knew it would be tough , still wish it was a little thicker but not as much as gx2 all in all a great rod landed several 5 pound bass on it so far . Please make a reel as tough as these poles here's a pic of some of my collection I'm missing my gx2 and white catfish rods [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Elite now favorite rod In the last six months I have purchased an Elite med heavy, med, and med light. The rods have awesome balance, castability and action. The tuff guides are fantastic and should last a long time. Sensitive for even the lightest bites and strong enough to bring in the big ones. The Elite rods have become my favorites. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ugly stik elite baitcast rods bought two of these as my new river rods for smallmouth in central pa! These things rock and can take all the abuse from the smallies and the river bottom. I'll never buy another brand rod! I use ugly sticks for my river rods and ugly stik spin cast rods for trout! Fantastic products and very very durable! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best rod for the money! I've been using my Ugly Stik Elite spinning rod for almost a year now, and I couldn't be happier. I caught my personal best redfish & flounder on this rod. It's the most sensitive rod I own, but still has the backbone to handle the bigger fish. The Ugly Stik Elite is just as good, or better than rods twice the price! I actually came to the website today to buy another Ugly Stik Elite Spinning Rod. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough yet Sensitive....just like me! Been a while since I've owned an ugly stik but decided to give the Elite series a try, so glad I did....Now it's my go to rod. I am pleased with the quality and have always been a fan of cork grips so this fits the bill to a tee....highly recommend the Ugly Stir Elite, you WON'T be dissapointed!
