Cracked in Half !!!
Was wondering why my trailer was making excessive rattling sounds. Then noticed that my spare tire was loose. Thought that the tire carriers mounting bolts had simply loosened up. SURPRISE!! Only had it for three seasons.

Wheel bolt heads too large
Make sure you have shammer handy to forcer the wheel bolts into the holes in the carrier

Will this be good in salt water ?
The Tie Down Side Mount Trailer Tire Carrier is Zinc Plated and the saltwater will break it down quicker than the Smith Heavy-Duty Spare Trailer Tire Carrier (Item # 22713) as it is made of hot-dipped galvanized steel.

No. The stud spacing was designed for common 4 and 5 lug rims only.
