Sketchie!
Does not give solid hold in dry sand on light chop/wind for 18' Alumaweld. Must be in damp (not wet) sand.

Too Small for boat
Thought it would be larger, I have a 23' AR230, this product would need too be 8-10" taller too really work for any boat.

Sand Anchor
This anchor needs to be screwed into the sand. Unless the water your anchoring is shallow, you need to be a good swimmer or have a weight belt to keep you down. I had to surface quite a few times. I've got to say they did work good in rough water at Sylvan Beach and I have a 22ft Pontoon.

Overton-Excellent Customer Service
Great Product Concept. Wish construction was a little better. Welds not accurate. Sharp edges and jagged edges on some metal parts. I had to take electric grinder to smooth out these areas. Overton's has Excellent Customer Service as the 1st one I received was not welded properly and they replaced it and had it to me in 5 days.

I would buy this product again and again
The Tie Down Mate is great. I had been using grappelling anchors that would shift and move. This screws into the sand and has a surprising amount of holding power. I could probably pull it out if I really, really tired, but with my 17' Bayliner hooked to an Anchor Buddy, it did not budge even when hit with moderate waves. I have recommended this to everyone I know. Paired with an Anchor Buddy, you are all set. Very easy to use, excellent holding power, and when you are ready to go, just unscrew it and roll.

Great, also like the super rope cinch
I really liked this product. Worked well in sand. For tying to the dock however, we use the super rope cinch. Having both is perfect. We also used the super rope cinch to tie our pwc to the dock, and also to adjust the boat fender height. I would recommend having both products to cover all boating applications. [@] is where I bought them.
