Rated 4 out of 5 by from Okay, but check the bearings The axle and hubs are fine. Bu the castle nuts that hold the bearings were much too tight, bearings overheated when I took it out for a test drive. They seem okay now after loosening the nuts to where they belong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great Had to drill different holes for spring holder bolts , however my trailer is way older .. so no problem . I am pretty sure this is under rated as to weight capabilities ... my old one was rated at 2000 + lbs and not nearly as heavy-duty, mine had smaller spindles , lighter bearings, lighter axle itself ... etc....... Great product..............

It looks as though all the measurements are the same except the 5 stud x 4.5" bolt circle hubs. My Wave-On trailer is 5 bolt but has a 5.5 inch center hub if I am measuring it correctly. Will this axle fit the WaveOn Trailer?

    Asked by: Gater132
I apologize but we do not have a way to cross reference your trailer. You may want to try and contact the manufacturer directly.

What is the largest tire or rim size that would fit on these hubs?

    Asked by: kram55
The appropriate tire and rim size for the Smith Galvanized 54" Trailer Axle Beam With 5-Bolt Hub, for 40" wide frame, are limited to the bolt pattern, axle size and trailer build. It is recommended to use a reasonable sized tire/wheel on the hub as long as the bolt pattern matches up and they have the fender and axle clearance.
