Rated 5 out of 5 by from Boom The only problem is the fat guy in the lower right corner appears to be driving a boat. Otherwise it's perfect!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great design, poor quality Great design, finally found a functional mirror for my deck bot that does not have a traditional dual console windshield. However it is cheaply made and the mirror ball is too loose, sitting in a non adjustable plastic housing. I will keep it (I already drilled holes) and hopefully find a way to keep it from flopping around. Disappointing for this price point.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from One Weak Link Reduces the Quality Mounting this mirror to the side console of my fishing boat was straight forward and easy. The failure is in the set screw for the mirror stud. It is threaded into plastic which does not hold at all. All they would need is an insert like the one holding the shaft to the bracket below and to drill one hole to match the bracket. If you want to take the time to drill a hole in the stud for the set screw without ruining the plastic threads or try to glue the stud into the bracket it might not be a bad buy for the money. I have not tested it on the water yet, so no review on if the mirror stays in place while driving.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from the cup point set screw does not hold mirror. the shaft on the mirror is too hard therefore the set screw does not dig into the sq. shaft holding it in place. finally glued it in place. wasted a lot of time. otherwise would be a 5 star. jim fetters

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mirror is great except for one small problem The mirror, rod, and surface mount bracket are fine. It is the small metal set screw, which thread through PLASTIC swivel bracket that causes the failure. I used contact cement to affix these together because the set screw stripped easily. I may end up using a long thin machine bolt and nylon insert nut to hole them together. Otherwise, the mirror is well-made. In my opinion, the manufacturer needs to make the swivel bracket out of metal.

Do you have a recommendation when comparing the 1000 and the 2000 for use on a 2008 Starcraft 2000 Limited Deck Boat. I am thinking that the 1000, offers a higher placement for the mirror, allowing better viewing over aft area passengers.

Asked by: Slacker
Both the Ski-Image X 2000 Mirror and the Ski-Image X 1000 Mirror will offer excellent viewing of your aft passengers and the area behind the boat.

No. The manufacturer of the Ski-Image X 2000 Mirror does not offer the mounting base separately.
