Ideal for a variety of boats from small RIBs to larger cruisers, the Simrad RS20 Fixed-Mount VHF Radio is designed to match the low-profile style of modern Simrad Glass Bridge displays and accessories. The RS20 features a high-contrast, dot-matrix, black-on-white LCD display with an inverted, white-on-black night mode. A rotary dial makes channel selection easy, while four large backlit mic buttons provide quick access to other key functions. The 16 dedicated channel keys, found on both the radio and its fist microphone, offer instant access to the emergency channel. The updated Startup Wizard allows for easier radio setup, improved scanning features, a Favorites shortcut for customizing your favorite settings, and a My Channels list, enabling users to only scan desired channels. The layout of the controls are designed for left-hand operation, allowing for right-hand control of the helm. This Class D VHF marine radio features an integrated Distress button for quick DSC distress calling, which sends your vessel's location to other DSC-equipped radios in range. DSC capabilities also enable direct calling to other DSC-equipped vessels from a Simrad multifunction display, including direct calls to vessels detected over AIS. An included gimbal bracket enables simple tabletop, overhead, or bulkhead installation. Flush-mount installation is also possible, with an easy mount-from-front solution and snap-on edge bezels. NOTE: A VHF antenna (sold separately) is required to complete the setup. Some functions require a NMEA 2000 or NMEA 0183 connected receiver.
