With an abundance of innovative design features, the Scanpod Helm Pod System is a perfect choice for all cockpit configurations. The Helm Pod fits up to 15" displays with options to install a combination of instruments and displays at the helm. The pod fits pedestal rails from 0.98" to 1.33" (25mm to 33.7mm). Using a unique clamping system, the pod can fit rail widths from 7" (178mm) upwards. The saddle system supports the stainless tubing, enabling a secure and rigid fit onto any pedestal and also ensures a watertight seal at cable entry. Customized U-bolts fit around the rail and through the saddles into the back of the pod, eliminating the need for time-consuming and awkward drilling of the stainless rail. Fixings fit from back to front, cutting their threads into injection-molded ABS inserts designed into the front of the Helm Pod. This design allows for a quick and safe install and repeat servicing. The pod seal is manufactured from a high-strength silicone with a very high resistance to heat and UV, so you can have confidence that it won't deteriorate over time.
