Features
The Roadmaster Comfort Ride Slipper Spring System 2500-70 transforms how your trailer tows by addressing the root cause of excessive bounce, sway, and interior damage—outdated leaf spring suspension. Designed for tandem axle trailers with up to 7,000 lb–rated axles, this system absorbs road energy instead of transferring it into your trailer.
Traditional “eye-to-eye” leaf springs—technology dating back over 100 years—transfer impact forces from one axle to the other, effectively doubling bounce with every pothole. Comfort Ride Slipper Springs break that connection. Each spring slides independently in response to road conditions, absorbing and dissipating energy before it reaches your trailer frame.
On a typical highway, trailers experience forces equivalent to a 3.2-magnitude earthquake. These forces cause frame flex, cracked roof seams, interior damage, and white-knuckle towing. Comfort Ride absorbs up to 80% of damaging forces, reducing chucking, axle roll-up, and suspension rebound—while dramatically improving control and ride comfort.
The system also reduces maintenance by eliminating 10 of the 14 wear parts found in conventional trailer suspensions. The remaining components use self-lubricating bushings, resulting in less wear, fewer repairs, and longer trailer life.
For maximum performance, Comfort Ride Slipper Springs can be paired with the Comfort Ride Shock System, delivering up to:
• 50% reduction in road energy on smooth highways
• 76% reduction on cobblestone surfaces
• 94% reduction on gravel roads
Features:
• Designed for tandem axle trailers
• Supports up to 7,000 lb–rated axles
• Comfort Ride slipper spring suspension system
• Absorbs road energy instead of transferring it
• Reduces chucking, axle roll-up, and rebound
• Eliminates 10 suspension wear points
• Self-lubricating bushings for low maintenance
• Includes springs, patented slipper box, hardware & instructions
