Features
The Raymarine P79 Adjustable In-Hull Depth Transducer is ideal for trailered boats or for those who want to minimize drag. The adjustable design accommodates a wide range of deadrise angles, up to 22°. This ensures that the beam is vertically oriented to receive echoes, resulting in accurate depth readings. Unlike traditional "puck"-type transducers, the P79 consists of a base that's bonded to the hull and filled with liquid. The separate transducer then attaches to the base with a twist-lock. The sound waves travel more efficiently through the liquid, giving the best possible performance. The P79 is approved for use with fiberglass hulls no thicker than 5/8"; not for use with cored hulls.
