MA5500 Platinum Panel - The world's most popular flush-mount speaker upgrade. Requiring a cutout of 9" x 5" and 1.5" mounting depth, it fits neatly into the cutout for the MA505 or the MA500. It's waterproof and corrosion-proof, and features a UV-stabilized plastic frame and a stainless steel grill. The MA5500 features Poly-Planar's new ultra-low magnetic field technology, so the speakers will not interfere with navigation instruments such as compasses and autopilots - it's no longer necessary to place speakers at least 5' from the compass. The rectangular unit is equipped with dual 3.5" woofers and a 1" tweeter. Each speaker handles a full 140 watts peak power. Available in black and white.
