Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not only will this work as an inexpensive emergency paddle, but with that small 1/4" hole in the middle of the handle, I'm going to also try using the paddle as a dock/mooring hook. I plan to put a 1/4" diameter nylon rope through the hole in the handle, form a loop about 8" in diameter, and tie it off. I don't know if the paddle will hold up well enough to lasso the cleats on the dock to pull the boat in, but I'm going to try it. Boat hooks are just too expensive, and this might just get me by. We'll see...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works! Actually got this for a large raft that we put in the lake. Works like it's supposed to. Stronger than I thought it would be. Nice and compact.
