5 star anchor
We needed a second anchor for the stern. As we do a lot of parallel parking next to other boats. This is a excellent sand anchor.

Anchor kit
Holds my 24’ steady, and fits anchor locker perfectly. I anchor in calm to mild chop 10-15 ft depth, sandy bottom. I like that it came as a complete kit.

Great anchor for sandy bottom situations
It comes with a LOT of rope, way more than we need for our typical anchoring locations. We cut the rope in half and seared the ends to use later. This is actually our 2nd of this exact anchor - if you’re lucky, you’ll find the one we didn’t tie off well at Crab Island. The fluke style plus chain digs in quickly and our pontoon stays put.

The width is 18.25", does that mean the bar is that measurement?
Correct, the bar is the widest part of the anchor.

Will this anchor fit in the Yamaha AR195 19ft boot locker? They say their anchor is specially made to fit the locker.
Unfortunately we do not have that boot locker specs available to us.

will this item work or compatible w/ a 2010 Hurricane Deck Boat?
I have the #13 on a 2008 Hurricaine deck boat...measure the width of the rubber brackets in the bow anchor locker to be sure the Stock Width
of the #9 at 18-1/4" will fit. The #13 has more hold power and may be a better choice.

Is the anchor line thimble made of stainless steel? Even galvanized seems to corrode quickly in salt water.
The thimble is galvanized, not stainless steel.

OK - Looking at the first commenter - what is the proper way to release this anchor? Looks like if you pull it backwards it will try to tip upwards, but if the flukes are stuck into the mud - it may not want to tip upwards to release.
If the flukes are stuck:
Power up to the anchor and position the boat straight over the anchor---pulling the anchor straight up should break it free. You can even use the buoyancy of the boat to apply pressure to the anchor to aid in retrieval . If anchor is stuck, then slowly turn your boat in a circle under power to apply pressure from different sides to release the anchor.

Will this one work with Windless?
I guess it could depend on which model windless.
