Additional Information
Whether you're at sea or on land, the RescueME PLB1 lets you activate global emergency services with a simple press of a button. The RescueMe PLB1 offers single-hand operation in even the most challenging situations, and a simple spring-loaded flap covers the activation button to prevent inadvertent use. PLB1 works with the only officially recognized dedicated search and rescue satellite network (operated by Cospas Sarsat). Since this is funded by the government, there are no charges required to use this service. When activated, the device transmits your position and your ID to a Rescue Coordination Center via satellite link. Rescue officials near you are then promptly notified of your emergency and advised of your current location so they can offer assistance. Your location will be continuously sent for up to 24 hours. Compact unit with retractable antenna easily fits in your life jacket. Comes with flotation case. 406MHz satellite transmitter. 5-watt output power. LED strobe with 1 candela output power. Lithium primary battery with 24+ hour operating life. 3"H x 2.1"W x 1.3"D. Seven-year warranty.
