O'Brien Men's Wake Competition Watersports Vest is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad if in distress I'm more than experienced on the water which is the only reason the situation did not get worse. Does not float you well at all and very constricting compared to a smaller size, different model from O'brien. I understand these are not giant foam vests and not super buoyant, but this one is bad. Had issue where I was in distress and could not reach my bindings to remove my feet because the vest did not allow any flexibility to bend toward my board and this vest barely, and I mean barely kept me above water. I had to go under a couple of times because of slight waves and how poorly this floated. The lack of flexibility put me in a very scary spot. I had two friends that had to dive in the water to help me. I'm 195lb / 44-46" chest and had on the XL. I bought this vest because the large O'brien I have was a little too tight last year. I put the large (different model) back on after this incident and it was way better. If what happened to me, happened to a novice and not having extremely proactive people on the boat, this could have ended very badly. In short, dangerous and severely limits range of motion if you are in trouble.
