Additional Information
The O'Brien Lowrider 2 Towable Tube is 35% thinner than the popular Super Screamer, keeping you closer to the water for more action. Plus the extra low profile allows easier boarding and more stability while riding. Softec technology allows the most comfortable ride without abrasions. Constructed of 26-gauge PVC and covered in 420-dener nylon for durability. Also features Lightning Valve for easy and quick inflation/deflation, quick-connect tow hook, and easy-to-grab handles with EVA knuckle guards. 340-lb. capacity. 70" diameter.

The Lightning Valve is similar to the Boston Valve except that it is attached to the towable, so there are no parts to keep up with or lose. The wider opening inflates and deflates 57% faster than the Boston Valve. An interior flap prevents air from escaping, even if the cap is not in place. Inside diameter of the valve measures 30mm.

What is the difference between the Transom-Mount Transducer and the In-Hull Puck Transducer?

    Asked by: Anonymous
The transom mount transducer mounts on the transom, and the inhull puck transducer mounts in the bilge area with marine epoxy. Both need to be under the waterline.

What is the difference between the Transom-Mount Transducer and the In-Hull Puck Transducer?

    Asked by: nic
Transom-mount transducer mounts on the transom wall and isn't a permanent mount. In-Hull transducer installs underneath bottom floor of the boat and is a permanent mount.

I have a 2005 Starcraft Pontoon and would like to purchase a depth finder that can be put in the panel with other gauges. Is this the correct one?

    Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, that is your best option because of the transom mount transducer. This will work great for you.

I ordered a puck type depth finder instead of a transom mount. Will the hull mount work or should I return it for the transom-mount type

    Asked by: Anonymous
The in-hull transducer will work as long as your boat is not metal.

Transom mount transducer vs. in hull puck transducer~Whats the difference in accuracy~,speedwise, depthwise ect.?

    Asked by: Anonymous
This is a very loaded question and has many variables. Anytime your transducer can be in contact with water it will be the most accurate----with that being said, if its installed improperly--ie behind a lifting strake, too high or too low---all will cause some sort of disturbance. And after all, some boats that are designed to go really fast create such an aerated mix at the transom that no unit will read particularly well on that model at top speeds. You see, on some of the really fast boats, speed is dependent on the boats ability to create as much aerated water as possible to decrease hull friction---therefore making the boat go fast, but makes it very difficult to get good electronics readings at speed. I would suggest you contact our technical dept and have a much more detailed and in depth discussion with a technical representative.
