Additional Information
Perfect for staying warm indoors, the Mr. Heater Big Buddy Portable Indoor Propane Heater combines safety with high-performing and adjustable warmth. The single control start knob lets you light the unit with a simple push and rotation, while the built-in Piezo sparking mechanism takes care of the rest. Additionally, the knob lets you switch between the 3 output settings: 4000 BTU/hour (low), 9000 (medium), or 18000 (high). This adjustable 4,000 - 18,000 BTU/hr output offers up to a 450 sq. ft. area of heated coverage, making the Big Buddy perfect for heating up enclosed spaces like a cabin. Integrated fan blends radiant and convection-style heat, so you get the best of both worlds and an increased heating capacity (operates on 4 x D batteries or AC adapter, not included). Ensuring years of safe and comfortable indoor heating, the Big Buddy features an Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS) and accidental tip-over safety shut-off. For operating power, the unit connects to two 1 lb. cylinders with the 2 swivel regulators (1 on the left, and the other on the right side of the unit), or to a 20 lb. cylinder with optional hose and filter (not included)*. Furthermore, a Quick Connect fitting on the left side of the unit can connect to a remote gas supply with a single hose and filter (not included)**. Note from manufacturer: propane tanks larger than 1 lb. must be kept outdoors.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from okay i really am happy with the heater but all literature stated 120hours from one 20 lb tank on low setting. to date I have used 3 tanks and on the low setting the heater burns for 68 hours. rather disappointing, don't you think?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful heater and easy to use Just bought this heater to use in the garage (cleaning to surprise my husband before he returns from vacation), and I did not have any issues at all. Just make sure you have the right connector (see instructions for compatible hoses). It has a built in regulator, so it's an almost self explanatory hookup (if I had to figure out how to install a regulator (being an amateur handy woman) that would have been another story). It has been running for about 30 minutes and my 765 sq. ft. garage is about 45 degrees (it's 20 degrees outside).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product. It does what is says. Have used the large Big Buddy for 2 deer seasons. Last one in 15 - 20 degree temps. I use in a tent to warm up before sleep and turn on again to warm tent upon wake-up. Heats tent up quickly and comfortably. Never had issues, best to ignite outside until pilot starts. Used both 1 lb cylinders and 15 lb propane tank w/ 10 ft hose perfectly. No negative issues. It does what it says

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great heater to keep you warm! This product is easy to use and light weight. I also love the fact that I can hook it up to my 20 lb. tank, crack a window and I have heat. It puts out a good amount of heat and will heat any room without any problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replaced a worn out heater for a new one We use this product to heat our living when it is chilly outside, like this summer. We also use it in our fifth wheeler on chilly evenings. It small enough to fit in our RV and still give plenty of heat. Remember to purge the gas line before using it for the first time.

What size Propane does this take..?

    Asked by: Christina
If you buy the hose and regulator kit you can use a 20,30,40,or 100 pound cylinder. I also recommend the 110V power supply for the fan.
