Daiwa Tatula CT Baitcasting Reel

With a lower profile design, the Daiwa Tatula CT Baitcast Reel is easier to palm and feels more natural on the rod than other baitcast reels. The Tatula CT is able to stay lightweight due to an aluminum frame and a 90mm swept handle with cutouts. The unique shape of the air rotor also weighs 15% less than ordinary rotor designs while still increasing the overall strength of the reel. The Tatula CT's T-Wing System reduces backlash and casting friction and, when combined with the Magforce Z magnetic braking, increases casting distance and accuracy. The eight-ball bearing system includes an infinite anti-reverse bearing for silky smooth retrieves. Ultimate Tournament Carbon Drag System (UTD) has oversized carbon drag washers that allow for maximum fish-stopping power. Also features I-shaped handle knobs.

T-Wing System:
Daiwa's T-wing System solves an age old problem with baitcasting reel levelwind systems. The "T" aperture allos line to flow freely through the wide top section on outcast, reducing the normally sharp angles and friction that slow line flowing through a narrow aperture when exiting the reel. For retrieve, line drops into the narrow, lower channel of the T-wing for even distribution across the spool width.

Swept Handle:
Daiwa's exclusive swept handle moves the paddles closer to the rod's conterline. The result is less wobble of the rod and reel in your hand as you crank. That means less wasted energy and a more powerful retrieve.

Magforce Z:
The spool starts faster and spins longer. As you start a cast, the spool's inductor cup is retracted from the magnets, so there's no magnetic effect to slow the spool. Startup is lightning fast. As the spool approaches maximum speed, inductor cup automatically moves into the gap between the magnets to apply smooth magnetic braking and prevent overrun. As spool begins to slow, the inductor cup automatically retracts from the magnets, so the spool keeps spinning longer, unhampered by magnetic braking.
