Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE this! Best grill we ever bought. We were in the middle of a move when the COVID hit, so we had sold our grill and needed a small one to cook out on. We have owned many gas grills over the years, from expensive high end to cheap low ends and this is by far the BEST we have ever owned. It's light weight, portable, has cast iron grill plates, which we can actually char with!!! It's easy to clean. We LOVE this. We bought the blue and the Coleman canvas cover fits it perfectly. When we eventually move to our new house, we will hook it up to a 20lb tank. Buy it, You will not be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little bb I use it on my patio on my apartment. Cooked my first steak came out awesome. Was easy to put together took 5 mins. My only con is in the instructions ot dosnt say how to season the grill. Cast iron will rust. Bit it says do not heat for more than 1 min after the first 5 min burn when you use it. I am almost afraid to throw it in the over to bake the fat so it won't rust. Other than that I love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Factory upgrades-No RV hookup Just purchased this to replace my 5 year old Sportster grill. I use it primarily for camping trips and it fits into my small storage space on the RV. Coleman must have listened to prior reviewers about some of the shortcomings with original model. The cover latch appears to be updated and locks the lid securely(definitely kid proof). The leg lock also performs well. The wheel base is larger than the Sportster model and they also enlarged the wheels making for easier rolling. Assembly took about an hour and they included the wrenches and screwdriver but I suggest you use an adjustable wrench or your own 13mm sockets. The only issue I have is that Coleman incorporated the pressure regulator with the control valve which won't allow you to remove it and hook up the grill to the RV's external gas line. You can purchase a hose and adapter to attach to a 20lb tank or to an extra tank if you have 2 on your rv but you must bypass the RV regulator and attach the hose directly to the propane tank. Otherwise you won't have sufficient gas pressure for a high flame or high heat setting. You can still use 1lb bottles for your tailgating. Only other issue I have is that the directions do not tell you how to remove the burner assembly but the cleaning instructions tell you to remove and clean it. Would be nice if they included those directions on the next update. I expect it to last 5 years as did my Sportster model.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stay away First one I recieved had an uneven flame.....said there were no replaceable parts. Coleman sent me a new one and within a year the drip pans are shot (not replaceable) and the regulator is bad. I only use this grill while camping maybe a dozen times, and I ways kept it out of the elements and covered.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good portable gas’s grill With continual use the grill will last 4-5 years. Then it will rust or parts wear out. The automatic start lasted one year. This is my second one and I do recommend it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No replacement parts The drip pans will go bad in about a year of moderate use and you cannot get a new drip pan for it. Once the drip pans go bad the grille plates will no longer set on the grille to cook anything making the whole grille worthless

Do you have to add water to the pan before grilling. What purpose does it serve. Never done that before

Asked by: frankie17
Yes, adding water to the pan assists in grease containment and prevents flare ups.
