Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really cooking now ! bought this to replace a stainless steel grill that rusted out after three years. Haven't cooked on it yet but put a 1LB bottle of gas just to see it work. Got hot really fast so I could see where you would have to watch and adjust while cooking anything. Pretty well built would recommend if a portable grill is what your after.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice quality tabletop grill but too hot A bout one two years ago. Mine was too hot and always cooked at lowest dial setting. I wish they would sell smaller orifices for the fuel to the burner to allow lower heat. I took it upon myself to make the orifice smaller in the brass outlet tube to the burner by setting it vertical in my vise (not clamped) then hit the small outlet hole about three times with a hammer. This caused the area to mushroom thus making the orifice smaller, now my grill cooks at a lower temp. I got lucky and didn't overdue or damage my regulator by hitting the outlet tube (orifice). I hope this helps other people as it worked for me. I also had to order a new grate due to warming it up w/o removing my plastic utensils, that was a mess. The new grate came in week and it was back up and running like new. Works pretty well in the wind, just face the rear opening away from the direction of wind. The stainless steel grate was the reason I bought it as it should last so much longer than the steel grates that rust out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Regretting purchasing this grill The size, portability, and overall design of the grill is great. It feels sturdy, however after using it for the first time this past weekend over a 2 day camping trip I noticed a few things. 1. Literally within about 8 hours after using it the first, which included me heating up frozen breakfast burritos, you could see discoloration and rust on the left side of the grate. No water was applied to it, grill was left open to come to a complete cool down and I'm not sure how some a poor quality material made it into a "higher end" portable grill. 2. The regulator does very little to regulate the temperature. Even on the lowest setting the grill was getting to 450-500 degrees when closed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easily the BEST. GRILL. EVER. I've had it 2 years. Tailgated with it. Taken it camping in the mountains. Use it on the back porch as a "daily driver." It's ability to heat up to 500° in 2 minutes, and stay there for as long as you want it to is what makes it the best. And this is coming from a 20-year, nothing but a Weber charcoal kettle, ever, guy. The only 3 caveats are that: (1) for smoking salmon, pork and brisket, I much prefer charcoal and hickory, (2) at altitudes above 5,000 feet, you are going to have to use matches to light it, and (3) if you want sushi, you're on the wrong page.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Purchase! This was an excellent purchase. It started raining during the first time use, but due to the shape and design, the flame never blew out! I was impressed as other models and designs had not performed this well. Thumbs up!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very nice grill design! I purchased this same grill a couple of years age. This new grill is to replace the old grill that actually blew off the table and broke the lid in a very strong wind storm. What I like the best about this grill is the fact that it heats up very fast. I also like the design so that you don't get flare-up with the flame. This grill will cook a hamburger or steak in 10 minutes total cooking time. The thing I don't like about this grill is the poor quality of the regular. The regulators only last a few months and need to be replaced. So I found a company on line that sells the regulator for about $20. So now I keep one for a spare. Yes I would buy this grill again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Char- Broil could do better I have many Char- Broil products but the Grill2Go X200 Portable TRU-Infrared Liquid Propane Gas Grill is by far the worst product I've used ... they are a great company but they have never used this product.. it burns very hot... that is ok... but the flame blows out consistently... you can't lower the flame... it just go out... Char Broil could and should do sorry this needs to be said.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not usable as it arrives, but it can be fixed. Seems OK once you learn that there is almost no heat adjustment as it comes from the factory. To fix this, you can try one of two solutions. First solution: In the center of the adjustment nob, there is an allen head screw under a sticky. Peel it off, and you can turn it out to give a bit of adjustment. If that gives you enough adjustment that you are satisfied, you are done. With this solution you are giving up some high end heat in exchange for being able to have some low end usable temps. If you want more adjustment, then solution #2: Do an internet search or look at reviews on a certain mega online seller named after a really big river in South America. There you will find many reviews with instruction on what parts to buy to fix this problem. The temperature control issue seems to be the number one complaint on this grill and has been for some time. The only conclusion I can draw from this is either the manufacturer does not read consumer reviews, they don't care about this issue or some combination of both. I like the size and that it stays cool enough under it that I can use it on my wooden deck with no scorching and I like the compact size. Many others complain about the grating burning out quickly. I have not had it long enough to speak to that issue, but I suspect it may be related to the high heat issues. As it comes from the factory, it is all but unusable. Your temperature options are between Surface of the Sun to Deepest Pits of Hxll. With a little effort, you can make it into a serviceable unit. But for a $100+ grill, shouldn't it work properly right out of the box? With the first solution, I have been able to grill salmon successfully as well as steaks and pork chops. Before that, my first attempt at hamburgers was almost a disaster. Be sure to READ the instructions on how to season and maintain the cooking grates. I will keep it and continue to learn it's idiosyncrasies. I would have given it a higher rating, but it does seem like only one star review ever have any chance of being read by the manufacturer. If they ever fix the temperature control issues, it could easily be a 4 or 5 star grill.
