Features
The 10'6" Burke SUP/YAK board features a KYPAD EVA molded seat and footwells so it doubles as both a paddleboard and kayak. The included paddle even comes with two sets of blades to help make the switch from paddleboard to kayak quick and easy. If you're heading into the wind or just need a breather after a session of stand-up paddleboarding, you can switch out the paddle blades, sit down on the comfortable seat pad, and kayak your way back to shore with your feet secure in the board's built-in grooves. The versatile Burke SUP/YAK features 3 multilayered laminated wood stringers coated with resin, high-density 100% waterproof EPS foam core, high-density polyethylene slick bottom, and durable IXPE/XPE deck. A new extended traction pad increases stability, and a bungee system on the back of the board provides convenient storage of personal items. Fin box with 9" fiberglass-nylon fin. Molded-in nylon leash plug and molded SUP handle with finger grooves. Complete package includes SUP leash, neoprene padded ankle strap, adjustable dual blade paddle, camera mount, and fin. For riders up to 300 lbs. 10'6"L x 30.7"W x 5.25"H.
EPS Foam Core - Most SUPs start with a simple expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam core. EPS is very lightweight, but because there is air within the foam cells, water can seep in and deteriorate the core. Better than EPS is a fused-cell EPS core which is watertight and more durable. The SUP/YAK features this fused-cell EPS core construction that is stiffened with wood stringers. The board is then sealed to prevent water entry and finished with bumpers and pads.
Planing Hull - The planing hull is found on all-around boards and is best for the paddler who wants just one board that can do it all. A planing hull is flat like a surfboard. It's designed to ride on top of the water and performs great in the ocean as well as flat water. A planing hull tends to be more stable, so it's best for beginners as well as recreational and surf paddling.
