Additional Information
Features
The Add-A-Battery System comes with a Dual Circuit Plus Battery Switch and 120 Amp Automatic Charging Relay. The Dual Circuit Plus Battery Switch switches two battery banks simultaneously with one simple on/off switch, while still maintaining battery bank isolation and minimizing the risk of a dead start battery. The "Combine Batteries" function offers the ability to combine two battery banks in the event of a low start battery. Case can be surface or rear panel mount. Features 3/8" 16 tin-plated copper studs for maximum conductivity and corrosion resistance. The "Starting Isolation" Automatic Relay allows temporary isolation of house loads from engine circuit during engine cranking to protect sensitive electronics. Supports high-output alternators up to 120 amps. Built-in LED light indicates when batteries are combined. Waterproof rated IP67.

Worked as advertised
Have to understand that you only get the part. We had to design and install a support board so that we could mount this on the boat. Eeded a "few" other parts (wires cables etc) to complete the installation

Excellant kit
This is a great kit. We sit tied up to other boats a lot while listening to the sound system. I was continuously draining my single battery. with this kit and a good second battery I no longer have that problem.

The alternator is designed to charge one battery at 120v, When it is charging 2 batteries, does the alternator work harder to charge both? will the switch relay charge only the one battery with low voltage or it will charge both at the same time?
My understanding, it recognizes and charges the lowest battery first then charges the other

Is it possible to tie three batteries together with a single switch
Hello Jeff, No. It is not recommended to tie three batteries together with a single switch. Thank you, Steve
