Features
With the proper application of teak oil/sealer annually, Whitecap Teak Teak can be left out in the weather and still maintain its golden color all year long. Whitecap Teak Teak matures to a silver gray without applied seal, but can be restored with a good teak cleaner and one or two liberal applications of high-quality teak oil. Whitecap Teak Teak cleans up easily with soap and water, but you should avoid using chemical cleaners. Traditional assembly techniques like dove-tail and mortice, tenon joints, and countersunk screw fittings along with waterproof adhesive ensure strength and durability. Whitecap Teak Teak comes sanded and hand-finished to a rich, elegant luster.
Whitecap Teak grating material comes in 3 thickness/cutout sizes with corresponding flat grate strips. Use notched strips in both directions, or use notched strips in one direction on the bottom layer and flat strips in the opposite direction on the top layer. Measure, cut, and assemble with glue; drill with a countersunk bit; and screw together with brass or stainless screws. The use of screws is especially important in the construction of larger grates.
