Good for the money.
Good guide post for the money. One of the PVC pipes inside diameter is small and wont fit all the way down over the bracket. I had to use a hammer and pound it down and its still about 10" short from fully seated.

Works very well
If you have any trouble getting your boat on the trailer straight and in the middle, buy this and you never will again. Great for windy days, or when a jerk ignores the no wake zone right as you are getting on the trailer.(Happened this past weekend!)

could work well on small boat
I was sent a product that was missing parts, the post were damaged and the box looked like it had been taped up more then once. When I called it in I was sent another different part on the same order? Then I had two parts to return. I finally got a good set of guide on post. But it was a hassle to get.I don't agree with the pop up for contributions - If you want to support this group do it on your own.Folks were good to deal with in service.

Some modification required.
They are designed for mounting only on a perpendicular trailer rail. I re-drilled the plates for mounting on a parallel boat-lift rail and used longer bolts. I've seen some with mounting plates that can be used either way.

Well worth the money.
It helps with the loading to mark the end of my trailer as it is under water.

I just received posts #72478. Question is about the mounting Hardware. Any trick to use to keep the hardware from scratching up the boat trailer? Something to put around the frame first to protect it?
Once the Tie Down Post Guide-Ons, 48" High are securely attached to the trailer, it should not scratch the trailer. You can put a small or thin layer of fabric around the trailer frame for protection.

will this fit on a 2 x 4 inch trailer rail?
Yes,however you may want to do a little adjusting by trying it on top or bottom of the trailer rail. I found I get a better height and fit by going on top instead of following instructions. I went to my locate hardware store and got reflectors and put on the plastic poles to help with visability and my old eye sight!

Will this work for Pontoon Trailers or too flimsy?
I would think they should work fine for you.
