Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Match Used these to attach aluminum panels to wood backing studs on the front of my enclosed car trailer. Worked perfectly and the wide screw head were a good match to the self tapping sheet metal screws on the rest of the trailer.

how long are the screws, are they used for 48" dock cushions

Asked by: gregory
HI Gregory- Thank you for your question. The stainless steel mounting screws are 1" long #10. To best install your Dock & Post Bumper, drive 1" stainless steel pneumatic staples, 1.25" stainless steel #8 or #10 oval or flat head Phillips screws with stainless finishing washers, or 1.5" large-headed stainless steel or aluminum nails through each tab every 3 to 4 inches.

For install of this product (stainless steel mounting screws) in dock bumpers, how many screws per foot? for a secure permanent hold on a fresh water lake.

Asked by: Sue
Just did my dock and spaced screws every 12". It's working very well.

do i need to drill pilot holes?

Asked by: Curt
For aluminum dock - yes. I found that a 1/8" pilot hole resulted in the first screw breaking but was able to get the second screw in (after vice-gripping the broken screw out). A 3/16" pilot hole is too big so I am guessing a 5/32" hole will be just right. Project is on hold while I procure a 5/32" metal bit.
