Rated 4 out of 5 by from Guide on help manuver Easy to install, had to deviate from instructions since the U bolts would not line up with holes in brackets, had to cut down U bolts after install since they extended several inches above trailer frame. They help put the pontoon boat (tri-toons) onto the trailer much easier since the PVC is easy to see with the trailer in the water. Guides the boat if you are slightly off, makes loading much easier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Fit I bought these to help center my 20' pontoon boat on the trailer. My trailer is not a standard bunk style trailer, but rather a scissor trailer. So far, this product works great and helps me trailer the boat much easier.

How many pontoon boat post guides (sets) does one need to effectively and easily load a pontoon on a trailer? One or two

Asked by: andy
The PVC pipe slides on the verticle posts. Before trailering your boat raise the PVC pipe up so the tops are above the waterline. As your boat settles onto the bunks, the underside of your deck will push down the pipe of the guides.

Does this product work on a scissor type trailer for a pontoon boat.

Asked by: Denny
If you can mount it on a fixed part of the trailer (framr / axel0 which does not scissor it will work well. If not you could use a regular unit mounted outboard of the tubes / logs. I would use one wit the similiar metal base since it offers more flexability!

Are these guides already 22"s high and extend more when put into water? If so how high will they extend past 22"s when in water? If not how tall are they dry installed before extending to maximum height of 22"s?
