Features
The SeaStar Power Assist unit virtually eliminates all steering loads on the wheel and reduces steering effort in heavy or high torque applications to minimize driver fatigue and discomfort. It can be installed on new SeaStar installations or as an easy retrofit to existing systems by using an electronically controlled hydraulic pump to provide on-demand power steering. If power is interrupted, the steering will return to manual operation but will be heavier than with the Power Assist activated. Operates on 12V or 24V and includes a wall or floor mount and wiring harness. Suitable for use with autopilots. Ignition protected (SAE J-1171) and ABYC, CE, NMMA, ISO 10592 approved.
