Rated 4 out of 5 by from 1 Yr. Later carpet is good in Fish & Ski boat I thought I would give this carpet some good reviews after I saw all the bad reviews. I don't why my carpet went in so well and is still looking good. I did sharpen my cutting tools though for better cuts.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Color codes are terrible Carpet quality is just ok. Colors are many shades darker than what is shown on the website. I expected some difference but this is ridiculous. Light grey was closer to black than anything else. Get the sample pack before buying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 20 ounce is a good medium carpet. 20 ounce is a good medium carpet. I think 24 ounce comes from the factory on most bass boats. However, the carpet you can buy at Lowe’s is only 16 ounce. I am very pleased with this carpet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 20 oz boat carpet I am very please with the quality of the carpet. I would make sure that you have more than enough adhesive. The glue container estimates were a wishful guess. I did install this over old plywood and the glue really soaked into the wood.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product is not good I posted a rewiew on this a couple of months ago. It never showed up on here. I am a customer who purchased this poor quailty carpet and I want this posted so others wont make the same mistake. I called the manufacturer, as Overtons said I needed to, and they refused to do anything about the situation.

I need to cover a 12x28 area. How many rolls would I need to purchase?

Asked by: hunterjcb
This carpet is sold by the running foot and is 6 ft. wide. So you will need at least 56 ft. of the carpet for a 12' x 28' area.

I need to put some removable carpet over my glued down carprt to protect it while fishing and crabbing so I don't want to gule this down, only cut it to fit most of the inside area.  Will this carpet be a good water barrier and reasonably non-slip?

Asked by: Ray 5519
Thank you for your question. Will provide some traction--but will not act as a water barrier.

If I cut the carpet, will it come unraffle? Do you carry the snaps for the carpet?

Asked by: Anonymous
It is hook and loop, it should not fray. We do not carry snaps for the carpet.

Just wondering how hard is it to install the 20oz carpet...anyone know?? Also is there a do-it-yourself manual that comes with it or for purchase??

Asked by: Anonymous
Its not hard at all, you apply the adhesive that you have to purchase separately, then you lay the carpet down and let it set and dry.

can this be used as a snap in carpet if i cut it to fit? do you guys sell the binding as well? is the backing abbrasive and scratch the boat if removed?

Asked by: scott
You could cut it and fill it in if you wanted to. Also we do carry the abrasive that will adhere the carpet. Depends on the surface as to what abrasive. Also the carpet has a soft rubber backing on it.

What does 20 oz mean? Is that a weight per square foot or something having to do with tensile strength of the thread from which it is made? Once cut to fit does this carpet need to be bound along the edge to prevent fraying/unraveling? How does one know how much adhesive to order? May I order a sample of two or three colors to help decide which one will look the best? Does this carpet need to be streched as it is installed like wall to wall carpet in a house or does it stay in place once installed? How difficult is it going to be to rip this out (sometime down the road) to replace it? Thanks

I would recommend calling us and actually get a sample card so you could color match if needed and so you could physically handle the carpet. The item number for the sample card is 35970.
