Features
Check vessel traffic and call for help from one handheld. The Icom IC-M94D is a 6 W VHF marine radio with an integrated AIS receiver, Class-H DSC, and built-in GPS. Nearby vessels show up on the display, and the AIS target call function lets you set up a DSC individual call straight from a selected target.
Audio output is a class-leading 1500 mW, and active noise cancelling helps keep calls clear around engines, wind, and rough water. The radio is rated IPX7. If it goes overboard, Float'n Flash keeps it afloat while flashing the display, keypad, and distress button, and AquaQuake drains water from the speaker grill. A 2400 mAh Li-ion battery gives approximately 10 hours of operation.
Waypoint navigation stores up to 50 waypoints, and dual and tri-watch functions and weather channels are included. Transmit power is selectable between 6 W and 1 W.
Note: The AIS function is receive only. It shows other vessels but does not transmit your position. DSC requires an MMSI number.
