Features
Build a VHF system around your boat, not the other way around. The Icom IC-M605 is a 25 W fixed-mount VHF with a large 4.3"" color TFT LCD that offers a viewing angle of nearly 180 degrees, so the display is easy to read from the helm, the side deck, or the flybridge. Night mode keeps it readable in the dark.
You can set up the system with up to three stations, using any combination of HM-195 series CommandMic microphones and the RC-M600 Command Head. Either one works as an intercom with the main radio. All radio functions, including DSC and distress, can be controlled remotely.
Class D DSC is built in, along with an integrated GNSS receiver. The supplied UX-241 GNSS antenna connects with a 5 m cable. The radio shares data on NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 networks, and active noise cancelling and a last-call voice recording that saves the previous two minutes help you catch every call. A 30 W listen-back hailer and foghorn are built in. The front panel is IPX8 rated and AquaQuake drains the speaker.
An HM-205RB speaker microphone is supplied and can be connected to the front or rear of the radio. The AIS receiver is not included on this version.
