It meets strict environmental requirements for temperature, thermal shock, vibration, and drops from 1 m, and the high-visibility yellow body is easy to find.
One-touch access to channel 16 and the call channel keeps operation simple in an emergency. The radio covers 156.300 to 156.875 MHz, and the construction is waterproof to IPX7.
The included BP-234 is a non-rechargeable 9 V, 3300 mAh lithium battery pack for emergency use only. It provides up to 8 hours of operation, even at -20 degrees C.
