Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work as advertised Does not read at high speeds as advertised. A waste of your money. I have a 24 year old outdated fish finder that reads depth just as good. What a joke.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny! I have had this finder on my boat for 2 years now and it is holding up strong. I had a wiring issue at first to where it would only register depth in neutral. Dummy me had the power wire on the wrong part of the ignition cluster. Simple switch and reads constant now.

Is it available with any other type of transducer, for example, in haul or thru haul type ?

Asked by: capt dave
You mean hull don’t you?
Answered by: Purple Heart Woodworker

Will the transducer work mounted on the top of the deck of a pontoon boat? The deck is about 18" above the water line. The information indicates that the transducer can be "hull" mounted and shoot thru the hull.

Asked by: Chad85
Unfortunately the transducer would need to be below the waterline to give an accurate reading.

My present gauge has failed, scrambled led. Can I just replace the gauge and not the transducer?

Asked by: Haliburton
The new gauge can be purchased through the manufacturer here: http://www.hawkeyeelectronics.com/replacement-boat-mount-depth-finder-display/

Hi, I like the simplicity of the HawkEye depth sounder. Can you recommend a way to mount it at the helm area BUT by NOT having to cut a circular hole in the dash/helm? It doesn't come with a separate bracket to mount on top of a dash? Thank you

Asked by: slow boat
I apologize but the HawkEye Digital Depth Sounder is to be installed with a mounting hole in the dash.

Is there a way to have 2 display units operating off of one transducer. 24 foot boat with in-cabin and flying bridge controls.

Asked by: Gary
Thank you for your question. No--at this time you would need to have two completely separate units--no splitters available.

Can Hawkeye depth finder transducer be mounted through hull

Asked by: Mark sholtes
Thank you for your question. The included transducer can be transom mounted or mounted to in the bilge to "shoot through" the hull.

Can the transducer be mounted in the hull (for shoot thru) instead of transom mounted?

Asked by: AquaHolic
Yes, Transducer can be in hull mounted with epoxy.

I need to know how to turn off the low oil alarm, is there a manual for this model?

Asked by: Anonymous
Never heard of a low oil alarm on a depthsounder. I would suggest calling Hawkeye and speaking with their technical support.
