Thought it was broken!
Called customer service because it doesn't sound like a horn; kind of a loud Buzz!

Not as Advertised
Sound is supposed to carry 2 miles. Item is US coast Guard approved. Battery cover broke trying to remove it to put battery in. Horn could not be heard 1 mile away. Don't waste your money on this one!

Exactly what needed
I was the course marshall for a 5K run and needed something to help let people know the runners were coming. Bicycle horns were all kid's toys and not useful for this. Even though this isn't meant for a bicycle, it did the job just fine.

Problem with first horn
First horn I received had a battery connection wire that had pulled loose.I called Overtons and they promptly sent a replacement horn. Great service and a good product I just happened to get a defective horn the replacement horn works fine.

Compact and easy to use
I keep it mounted on the boat where I can use it immediately in case of an emergency. It's loud enough to take the place of my air horn in the canister. Like my smoke detectors at home I'll change the battery yearly or when I uncover the boat in the spring.

How easy is this to operate - does it have something to push? Could someone with arthritis use it?
This Handheld Signaling Horn is very easy to operate. To turn the activate the horn you would simply pull the trigger on the handle portion of the horn. Someone with arthritis shouldn't have any issues using the trigger mechanism as it is very simple to actuate.
