When a diesel engine needs high amperage to start, a standard battery switch is not enough. The Guest 2303A Diesel Power Battery Heavy-Duty Switch is built for these loads, with a 450 A continuous and 800 A momentary rating.
Heavy-duty copper sweep contacts help keep circuit control positive, and alternator field disconnect (AFD) allows you to select any position, including off, without damaging the alternator or electrical system. The switch works on 6, 12, 24, or 36 V systems.
The rugged polycarbonate case has a built-in skirt that protects the electrical connections, and the unit mounts to a panel or flush. It measures 5-1/2"" square by 3-1/2"" high, comes in gray, and carries a one year warranty.
