The Dometic SeaStar HH6542-4 Classic Tilt Hydraulic Helm Pump is the world's most popular hydraulic boat steering helm. It offers smooth, efficient no feedback steering for inboard and outboard applications. Preloaded dual taper bearings ensure minimal excess free play. Shaft seals prevent water ingress. These helms are maintenance-free and fit most styled and formed dashes. Available for use with hydraulic systems only.
This latest series of SeaStar helms has been redesigned to provide a better experience for the vessel operator. New valve technology ensures tighter, quieter, and more responsive steering, while minimizing the potential for chattering when dealing with over running steering loads. More durable check valves make the entire steering system more resilient to the rigors of trailering. The revamped design enhances their aesthetics and has introduced a new fill port plug design for easier maintenance. The HH6542-4 model is a direct replacement for the HH6542-3 and HH6542.
