Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dock fender I wish they made a longer version. 16" is ok, 24" would be much better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product but long ship time This is an excellent product when used with stationary and floating docks. The real issue I have is the amount of time it takes for these items to be shipped (2 to 3 weeks ). If this trend continues I will have to go to another source.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Product Fit the dock perfectly and was easy to install even over the corner bracket of the dock. Durable product. I'm in a high wind area on the lake and we back our pontoon boat in to the dock. This has saved the pontoon from geting damaged.

What is the proper amount of inflation for the dockmate dock bumper?

Asked by: Mr B
The manufacturer, unfortunately, does not have a recommended PSI for this fender. You will want to inflate it to the firmness of your preference.

What is the distance from the vertical mounting holes to the top lip? My aluminum dock is 7" thick, I want to know if the vertical holes will mount.

Asked by: RyanBHP
Hello-Thank you for your question. The distance from the top of the fender to the vertical holes is 6”. The distance from underneath the lip to the screw holes in 4 ½”.

What size and type are the screws? Are there washers also? If so, what size are the washers?

Asked by: edwardc7
While I cannot tell you the exact size, the screws are approximately 2" stainless steel with hex heads. I have had many of these over several years (and so have my neighboring docks) and we have had to replace some of them several times because they DO need washers. However, they now come with stainless steel fender washers approximately 3/4 to 1 inch in diameter. The washers spread the fastening force from the screw head to prevent the screws from pulling through the mounting holes in the fender.

My swim platform goes under my dock by a few inches will this be able to stop my 32 food boat without breaking the fender if I use two or three?

Asked by: Bob
Unfortunately not. These do not bend as well as a foam filled bumper does.

I'm in the main channel of a lake where bass boaters go by in convoy style on saturday morning, causing huge wakes. How is it my boat won't ride a wake up on top of the bumper?

Asked by: missrozita
It is going to be dependent on how the boat is tied to the dock. We recommend using mooring whips if you already do not have them in place.

I asked the same question of Overton for the same item number and the response was: "There really isn't a recommended psi, technically you can adjust the firmness to your liking."
