Built around a cast steel body and CURT’s articulating head design, this 25,000 lb. hitch head is made to provide controlled movement while helping minimize the shock and noise that can occur during towing. Its interlocking jaws wrap securely around the trailer kingpin, while the wide head opening makes coupling easier. A visible three-position indicator helps confirm connection status from the cab, and the self-resetting handle returns to the ready-to-couple position after uncoupling. When it is time to remove the head, the one-pin system separates it into a more manageable piece for easier handling. Three height positions provide additional setup flexibility, while the included polyethylene lube plate helps eliminate the need for messy grease on the hitch head. The head requires compatible CURT 5th wheel legs or a roller for installation and is tested to SAE J2638 standards
