C.E. Smith Post Guide-Ons, 75" High, pair is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality control. One of the tubs would not slip over the steel post. Also mounting brackets need to more heavy duty. One tube fit either side post, but the other tube was very difficult to get on. Eventually had to hammer on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is an asset for trailer boaters These guide-ons are an absolute necessity when loading a boat onto a trailer for two reasons; it helps the person backing the trailer to judge exactly where and how deep the far end of the trailer is and it gives the person loading the boat reference points to keep the boat centered on the trailer. I'm not sure they will hold up to a couple good thumps because of the PVC uprights but time will tell because the PVC also allows them to be somewhat flexible.

For these guide-ons - to be used on my 20 foot pontoon - it seems that most products in this category mount inside the pontoons on the trailer. But, these look like they would be mounted on the outside of the pontoons - which is where I need some help.

    Asked by: Fishin Tom

The box frame on my 26' trailer is 2" W x 6" H. And, I see that per your specs that this can clamp onto a frame that is 3" W x 5.25" H. Do you have u-bolts that can accommodate my frame?

    Asked by: Dan
No. We do not offer U-bolts that will fit your trailer.

Are they structurally sound enough to load a 29' tri-toon boat on a windy day/s. How long is the lower mounting bar, if it is installed the maximum 19" out from trailer how much is in the mechanism securing it to the trailer?
