Offering superior strength, sharp looks, and corrosion resistance, this retractable cleat with thin profile installs easily on narrow gunwales. Friction springs reduce rattling and hold cleat up at any position. Drainage receptacles capture moisture. Each stanchion is a 7/8" rod of solid stainless steel. The cleat rises above the deck to 1-5/8" and lowers to 1/2". Measures 4-1/2"L x 1-5/16"W. Requires two 1" dia. holes for installation.

What size are the nuts?  Not sure I have a wrench to fit them.

A 1-1/4"(32mm) wrench or deep socket is needed to secure the nuts on the cleat.

What size are the holes that have to be drilled ?
