Additional Information
Anchor Buddy takes the shock out of your anchor line and makes it much easier to anchor offshore. Simply drop anchor about 30' out and proceed to shore; Anchor Buddy stretches, while your anchor stays set. As you pay out your bow line, Anchor Buddy retracts, anchoring your boat safely offshore. Stretches from 14' to 50'.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't bother. Waste of money. Great idea, worked a few times then the bungee lost its elasticity. Rubbish.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money I am on a lake in maine and this rope broke within a week. The rope didn't actually break but the elastic inside broke. Had to tie it up to keep it from bumping into other boats once the stretch was gone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best anchor system available. This is the best way to keep your boat off the beach. I like that it lets the boat flex when big wakes come rolling in.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from ANCHOR BUDDY FAIL after two years with the 1st anchor buddy it snapped the inner bands, the replacement was ordered as we loved the product, the 1st time the new rope was used it snapped right away, Overton's Customer service is sending a replacement right away. this was not the norm for this product as the first one worked as it should have and kept the boat steady throughout the day when anchored.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must have! Makes offshore anchoring easy. No need to push our boat out, simply remove the rear sand spike and the anchor buddy does the rest. A must have if you anchor offshore!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice! If you follow the recommended "do not use for ..." from the manufacturer's attorneys there not much use for this anchor line. If you use it reasonably it works well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product! I've had a few of these over the years, and it's a great product. The bungy cord doesn't last forever (I probably go through one every two years), but it's also inexpensive, and when the bungy does break (due to the constant pulling on the anchor), your boat is still anchored. I always keep an extra in the boat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great idea, just needs a few tweaks The Anchor Buddy is a great idea but it seems like 95% of the product expense is in the line itself with a couple of cheap connectors thrown in. The U-bolt does not seem like it could actually hold a 20' boat in a moderate wind and it's easy to drop the pin when you are working upside down over the side of your boat or in the water. At the other end is a spring clip that is too small to fully fit over a modest anchor. I love the stretch idea but find their video of the guy driving his boat up to shore and then jumping off laughable. That's going to work in about 2 out of 100 situations.
