Rated 5 out of 5 by from Underwater seal Formed a seal between swimming pool under water light electrical cable and metal container. Seal was in perfect condition 10 years later when the assembly had to be removed. The pool installer was amazed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The right stuff. This is great stuff and it what you need to do the job right. It can be pretty permanent, so if you ever want to remove the fitting, you should probably use the 3M 4200 sealant/adhesive. These adhesive/sealants will allow you to do the job right above and below the water line, with no leaks, unlike the stuff you get from the big box store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Marine Sealand sticks to ANYTHING! When I was a kid in Alaska we would repair all our aluminum boats with this stuff. We would also use it to repair the rubber on our winter boots; there is one spot that always cracks at about 50 degrees below zero. This stuff is the only thing we ever found that would stick to that rubber, stay bonded no matter what, and would last even at temperatures dipping below -60. Use it. Love it. Glue it.

Can I use 5200 to fix a leak in my boats fresh water tank? I rarely drink the water buy may need to if I am away from another water source for some time.

Asked by: william
Thank you for your question. While 5200 is a great sealant---it is not designed to be used in potable water situations.
