What is the life of this filter?  How often do you recommend it should be changed?

    Asked by: Christy
I can answer your question like this. I have such a filter that I have used for over 10 years. I get this kind of life because I make sure to blow out any water in the filter before I stow it away. I stow it away dry not wet. I kept the caps that came with it and put them back on after each use for storage. I figure 30-50gals per camping stay and 3-4 camping trips per year. So the math says 200gals per year and at 10 years 2000gals so far.
