Don't throw your money away
I purchased the 1500lb Saltwater Jack. The wheel is made of very cheap plastic. The wheel is also too wide and will not pivot around when you want to push your boat into the garage. What you get is the wheel pivoting around about 25% so you end up pushing your boat sideways instead of straight back. I am so disgusted with this model that I won't even consider a replacement from Overton's. Brad

Great jack!
We have a 17-foot fiberglass boat we use in saltwater. This is a little larger than absolutely needed, but it's sturdy and easy to use.

Nice at first
Last a little of a year before it started to stick and skip. And yes I did keep it greased. Sent it back [...]. I took the new one apart and used a whole tube of grease lubed the entire inside. From factory (china) very little grease inside, zerk is so far away from shaft you better extend the whole unit out and pump a entire tube into it if your using it for saltwater. Well see if this will be the cure - otherwise seems nice

Works great, easy to install
While a bit overkill for my PWC double trailer, wanted something that wouldn't corrode after many saltwater dips like my last jack, plus wanted a big wheel for ease of moving the trailer around. This unit does the trick... love the grease fitting, too.

Excellent Match For My Boat
Previous jack tilted when supporting boat tongue. This stands straight and more sturdy. Gives me a sense of confidence when I have to board the boat when not hooked up to my truck.

ONLY LAST A YEAR
Seized up after one year --even when greased every use. Must say though Overtons took care of me and replaced it. [...] Top gear starts skipping and nothing happens

operates as advertised
The old trailer jack had a small wheel and the shaft was difficult to operate. The new trialer jack with its larger wheel and grease fitting makes attaching the trailer to the hitch much easier.
