Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy but not compact My intention was to purchase a set of paddles that I could use for emergency use if my 22ft boat ever lost power and to use for my 9ft inflatable boat. The paddles are very sturdy and easy to use, the paddles worked perfectly to get by 22ft boat over shallow water and land softly ashore. The only problem I have with the paddles are that they are longer than any of the other telescoping paddles I've seen, luckily I have a storage area long enough to store them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from For not being wood they are good! I use these on a 14 foot jon boat and so far they are working fine. Not as strong as wood but have used them to push off boat when stuck on trees ect, are a bit flimsy.I do like the telescoping handle makes more room on boat.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not so tough This oar failed under minimal stress. It was being used to help position a boat on a trailer and broke near the telescoping lock. Once broken, it can be seen what a thin gauge of aluminum was used to fabricate it and there's no wonder it didn't hold up. It was only a couple month's old.
