Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hmmmm, mis-sized? Read all the reviews and bought this for my grandson. He is 37" inches tall and barely 30lbs. Could not even begin to zip up jacket. At least a 4" gap! Too bad as jacket looked like it would be comfortable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from runs very small I returned this because it was way to small for my child.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Way too small for child only 21in chest My daughter is 4. Weighs 37 lbs and 21inches through chest. This jacket won't even meet over her belly. No way we could zip it up. I measured vest of jacket and it is only 20 inches. Not sure how a child of up to 25 inches could fit in it. I also ordered a youth size 50-90 lbs for 7 yr old daughter is 54 lbs and that vest fits perfectly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from too small They seem nice enough, but both my boys couldn't even come close to zipping it. One boy is 40 pounds and very skinny, the other is 43 pounds. We just went back to their old body glove jackets that are rated 30 to 50 ponds too. These 30 to 50 were more like 30 max.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No better than other life jackets I ordered this looking for a less bulky option for my 18 month old daughter. It is just as bulky as the other life jackets we have and restricts movement just as much. It's also not noticeably lighter although it does feel more "expensive". We also can barely zip it up over my baby's belly. Hopefully it stretches over time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No stretch through back We couldn't zip it on our average to small three year old. I'm thinking that as kids get bigger they stretch out and lose that little tummy of a toddler? I don't know, just know it was way too tight for her.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from sized for a lilliputian ---miniscule purchased for a two year old.way too small...when put on correctly, the boy could barely breathe. very poor assessment of the size of the lifejacket. I got it for my grandson.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great life jacket These are great life jackets! My daughter has kept this on for hours at a time because she hardly noticed it was there. We got a couple of years use out of it and now it'll be handed down to cousins because it's shown very little wear. Off to buy the bigger size because she's grown out of it!

What is the correct way to measure a child for a life jacket?

    Asked by: Julie
Measurements are done based on chest and weight. This particular vest fits children 30-50lbs and/or 20"-25" chest.
