Additional Information
Berkley's Vanish Transition is the only 100\\\\% fluorocarbon fishing line that changes color - so you see it but fish don't! Above water the line physically ''transitions'' to either gold or crimson red so you can detect strikes faster. Underwater the line appears clear so fish aren't spooked. Bottom line: You catch more fish! Berkley's continuously improved Vanish formula maintains all of the strength and abrasion resistance of fluorocarbon is easy to handle with good knot strength and sinks underwater for a more sensitive and more direct profile from rod tip to lure.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wrong line on spool I bought a packet of Berkley Vanish Fluorocarbon 12LB line from a local dealer in South Africa a while ago. It is currently winter here and was respooling my reels when I started using the spool of line that I've placed in my fisking tackle line box. I noticed something was off but wrote it off to the Double-X Hi-Abrasion 14LB line I was taking off my reel. But when I spooled my reel, it didn't even fill half of it(Shimano Slade 4000FB). Now I knew something was seriously wrong. The line measure about 0.008" instead of 0.012" Now I don't just want to diss the product as I have moved over completely from Double-X and have had only good experiences up till now. Have you maybe had any other reports of the same happening to other people? Or am I the only guy that has been forced to only catch small fish this season?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent leader material On july 23rd of this year (2021) I went striper fishing on Lake Ouachita, here in Arkansas. I was trolling with a 2500 series Shimano spinning reel, spooled with 30 lb braid, and topped with 20’ of Berkley Vanish. To cut to the chase, I hooked and landed a 40-45 lb (easy) Striper after a battle that went on for maybe 12 - 15 minutes. This fish made some incredibly long and fast runs, as will as being wrapped in the line for a while. After boating, taking pics, reviving and releasing the fish, I inspected the leader. Even though the fish had three large areas of damaged and bloody scales from being wrapped in the line, I could find no scuffed or frayed spots anywhere!!! I’ve been using Vanish! as a leader material since it came out, and AS LONG AS I tie good knots, carefully, and use reels with a butter smooth drag that’s set correctly, it has never let me down. I’ve used all the other much higher priced Fluorocarbon leader products out there, and IMHO they are way overhyped and way overpriced!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst line I have ever used ! I don’t know if I got a bad spool or what, but I put some of the 17lb on my spinning set up and it casts horribly! I thought this would be an upgrade from 2+ year old 20lb mono but I was sorely mistaken! Hopefully it was just a bad spool that I got but I will not be buying more to find out. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but I was thoroughly disappointed!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage line I don’t know if I got a bad spool or what, but it’s garbage. By far the worst line I’ve ever fished with. The line was so brittle it’s pathetic. I broke off 3 times in a row before I just hung it up for the day. I saw one fish, and it was less than 2 lbs. No sense in giving fish free lip piercings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value as real Fluorocarbon mainline. Have now bought this line in 20, 30 , and 40 pound test filler spools (350 yards) a number of times. Not only does it provide great abrasion resistance, it's knot friendly, and very sensitive to fish activity around the hook. It also doesn't seem to get nick or get frayed anywhere as often as mono therefore lasting on my reels. I use the line on both spinning and conventional reels with great success.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Flouro Out There! I use it on almost all of my rods and it is by far the best line out there. Smooth, easy casting makes fishing a lot simpler. I love it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible This line breaks if you even look atbut wrong, i am not rough on my rods when transporting but this line seems to break every trip without fail. I have lost 2 fish now on broken line. I will be cutting this poop off my reel before my next trip.
