The aluminum anode is a sacrificial metal that protects the Ice Eater from corrosion and electrolysis. The aluminum anode is the best choice of sacrificial anodes for all water types. Unlike zinc anodes, the aluminum anode has zero cadmium in the alloy, making it environmentally friendly and suitable for all uses.
