Overton’s dock lines are made from superior nylon for added strength and stretch.
When it comes to docking your boat, it’s important to consider your options for boat cleats and cleat lines and the necessary hardware to ensure your boat is safe and sound until your next outing. Dock lines are typically made from nylon, a strong and durable synthetic fiber known for its ability to stretch. Because of their stretch capability, nylon dock lines have a tendency to last longer than lines made from other materials since they’re able to absorb the natural shocks that come with mooring your boat. At Overton’s we offer some of the best dock lines and cleat lines in the marine industry including braided and double braided lines that work with your existing mooring system to protect your boat when not in use.

Stock up on dock lines, cleats, and hardware.
You can never have enough dock lines onboard. While our dock lines are made to stand the test of time, there isn’t a line on the market that will last forever. Never risk being empty handed in the event a line should start fraying and have a few stored away as a backup plan. Explore our full selection of cleat options, including flip-up cleats and both open or closed-base cleats, before choosing which design is the best choice for your particular docking needs. We offer cleats in a range of finishes from black nylon to aluminum to white powder coated all of which are designed to withstand the harsh marine environment. The hardware for most cleats are sold separately, but we carry a large supply stainless steel mounting screws specifically for this reason. Don’t forget to add a bag of screws to your cart to ensure you have everything needed during installation.

Prevent chafe and prolong the life of your lines with chafe guards and snubbers.
While chafing is inevitable by rubbing lines (both dock lines and anchor lines) against the dock or the surface of your boat, it can be reduced significantly with the help of a chafe guard. Chafe guards cover the line and absorb the rubbing as much as possible extending the life of your dock lines in the process. Snubbers can help absorb the shock for shorter lines without as much elasticity as longer ones. Find both chafe guards and snubbers at Overton’s, your one stop shop for all things boating and marine.
