Sea Anchor
My neighbor recommended Overtons to buy a good quality Sea Anchor. They had great prices and the product was of great guality. I have not had a chance to use it as yet, but based upon the same one that my neighbor purchased from Onertons, I'm sure that I will be completely satisfied. We have a vacation rental resort on the lake here in Oscoda and I like to take our rental guests out for done fishing. The Sea Anchor allows me to slow down the pontoon so we can troll for Walleye and Northern Pike.

Very happy with my purchase
I bought the drift socks for fishing Lake Erie for walleye. I can't believe I have fished over 20 years on the lake without one. It really works great. I can now control the angle of the boat when I drift so more lines can be put out. When trolling, I can control the speed depending on conditions. I use one sock and if the speed is still too fast I use another sock on the opposite side. The sock is cone shaped with a small opening at the end that allows the water to escape when you pull it from the water, it sure beats those heavy 5 gallon buckets I used in the past. I also noticed that when we were fishing in high waves we did not get bounced all over the place like we did before using the sock.It really stablized the boat. I did some serious searching and Gander mountain had the best price and quality for the drift sock. I am very happy to say the least and would recommend this product to all boaters.

Does it have like a plastic coil or ring for throwing it out into the water?
Thank you for your question.
No plastic rings or coils---you will let it fill with water and then release.

i have a 23 foot cruiser with a 188 horse motor i can get to 3mph i was wondering if this would get me to 1.5 mph
You may have to use more than one to get to the exact speed you want but they certainly slow you down. I have a 21 ft cruiser and use one of them to slow my troll down from over 2 to 1.5 mph. Don't leave the dock without one!

with the drift sock do I have to buy a harness or does it come ready to use. I am looking for something to slow my trolling speed down a little. Does one work or do I have to buy 2.
Yes, it is ready to use. Depending on the size of your boat will depend on how much it slows you down but will work either way.
