This board is awesome! Absolutely anyone can ride this board and it is still fun for advanced riders. I was out with some friends who had never been able to stand behind a boat and they got up first time. My only complaint is that we had to fill up the boat with gas 3 times because nobody wanted to get off the board...GO GET ONE!

I bought this board and rope after reading positive reviews. We do a lot of water sports, and thought this would be great for friends that visit that have trouble getting up on skis or wakeboards. Bottom line is I regret this purchase. The board is VERY heavy and is a lug on the water. It's hard to hold the rope because the drag is severe, especially for kids. Once you are going, the board doesn't turn at all. I assume it's designed this way to keep the board stable, but if you want to learn to turn back and forth, this is definitely not the gear. You can stand on it easily, but you need a strong back. I was also disappointed that the surface is glued on and bubbling up in places. The grips are glued onto the handle poorly. Good idea for a board but design seems weak given the above points.

    Comments about Zup Board:

I absolutely love the Zup board. It can be enjoyed by the entire family. I stood up on the Zup my second try though I really enjoyed the feeling of control while riding it on my knees better. My 9 year old daughter thought it was the best as well. I love that you have control of the speed of the Zup. You can travel from a crawl to 20mph as your confidence increases. Keep your expectations realistic and you won't be disapointed. It is not a water ski, it is not a wake board, it is a toy that allows anyone regardless of skill level to enjoy the thrill of being pulled behind a boat. I also have to take exception with the weight and bulk of the Zup being a problem. Yeah, it has some weight, but I really think it is part of the design to help with stability in the water.(again my 9 year old daughter was able to load and unload the Zup from the boat herself.) I assure you that draging an inflated tube on the boat is much more of a hasle than the Zup is and you are not going to pop it with a fishing hook you left lying around. All around I just don't have enough good things to say about the Zup, take the plunge and start getting wet!!

      Comments about Zup Board:

It is an entertaining water challenge for adults and children, ages 6 to 45. Our greatest success was getting our blind friend, age 43, standing up, hands free. He rode the ZUP over 2000 feet for the thrill of a lifetime. This was his first opportunity to successfully participate in a water sport.

      Comments about Zup Board:

This is our family's favorite boat "toy". Everyone in the family loves it, including my 9 year-old little girl...anyone can use it. We haven't mastered the waterskiing as of yet, but as a kneeboard, it is a blast. It seems very durable, doesn't take up much room in the boat, and is a reasonable weight. I love it and highly recommend it!

Very easy to use. My 4 and 6 year olds love it. The rope makes everything easy. My 6 year old was standing up holding the rope on her first ride. All the adults that have been on it have enjoyed as well. So easy to use regardless of skill level.

        Comments about Zup Board:

I already knew how to ski however I wanted an easier way to try to teach my 11 year old son how to ski and wake board. I seen the Zup Board and watched the videos and read the reviews on it and decided to give it a try. I have a lot of friends who have never skied or boarded on the water or land, so I took them out to our local lake with me to see how they would do on the Zup board. Over several trips to the lake with 10 different friends, they all got up and stood on the Zup board after a couple tries. This product did exactly what it was advertised to do. I am very happy with my Zup board and it is a pleasure to see people who thought they could never ski or board, actually stand up and ride the board with ease. This product is very well made and the molded handles on the board makes it easier to knee board as well versus a traditional knee board. I all ways take a tube to the lake with me but now everyone prefers riding the Zup instead, so the tube has not been rode since I got my Zup Board. And yes, my son loves our Zup Board. The only complaint I have with the Zup Board is that In my opinion, it is a little pricey and the Zup Rope and handle should be included with the Zup Board. I also wish there was a few different colors of the board to choose from.

Will this fit in a wakeboard rack or surf rack?

            A:

Yes, it will fit in most wakeboard racks, but we don't recommend doing that. The ZUP board is 2.25" thick, but placing it in a wakeboard rack could damage the EVA foam on top and those racks were not designed for this type of board. Damaging the foam top could cause future hazard or performance issues with the board. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our technical assist line at 1-800-334-6541.

The ZUP board will accommodate up to a 15" handle, but we don't recommend using ski handles. The handle that is designed specifically for this board is our item # 731609. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our technical department at 1-800-334-6541.

A very experienced skier can start from shallow water, otherwise you start flat and pull yourself up.
