I bought 2 of these for my sons. They were meant to be the first "real poles"... While teaching them to cast in the yard wth a 1/16 oz. split shot they both locked up with in the first 15 retrievals. I would not recomend purchasing this product. It cost us our first day out on the new boat. The boys never even got to touch the water!!!! And the worst part is that I live 1hr. 30 min. away from the nearest Gander Mountain.
